David was born in Central Pennsylvania in 1968 and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design from 1989-93. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1993, he moved to Seattle to work for Dale Chihuly and many of the highly regarded artists in the Puget Sound area and beyond. He has worked most closely with Lino Tagliapietra for the past 16 years and regards Lino to be a pivotal inspiration in his development as an artist and glassmaker. David began using glass enamels in his work during a fellowship at the Creative Glass Center of America in1995 and continued to develop his style in his second fellowship at the Glass Center in 2004. David uses the vessel as an integral and more sculptural element in his work. He’s worked primarily with characters from fairy tales for their familiar associations. David infuses with them a reference to some personal experience or idea.  His work was included in the "Lino e Amici" show at the Fuller Museum of Art in Massachusetts 2000 and (Lino Tagliapietra) Living Legacies Show at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma 2008. His work has been included in many distinguished private collections and several museum collections as well.
